PORTIONS:
Our Sockeye Portions are precut individual serving sizes ranging in weight from 4 to 6 ounces. A single portion typically serves 1 person, sometimes 2. They come with the skin on and are individually vacuum sealed and flash frozen on site directly after being caught.
Our portions do have pin-bones, which are small and easy to remove; you can find instructions to remove pin-bones on our Blog!
Portions should be kept frozen until ready to eat. To thaw either place in the refrigerator overnight or place in a sink of cold water while still in the vacuum sealed bag. Warm or hot water can dilute the flavor and color of the salmon. Portions can be cooked frozen and should be cooked for 20% additional cooking time.
SMOKED SALMON:
Our Smoked Salmon comes in individual 4 ounce packages. There are three flavors available: Peppered Garlic, Candied & Kippered. They come with skin on, which is easily removed. The 5lbs comes with an equal variety of all three flavors. If you would like to request a different combination of the 3 or only 1 or 2, please indicate so in the Notes sections at checkout.
Smoked Salmon should be kept frozen until ready to eat. Remove Smoked Salmon from the freezer and it should thaw within an hour at room temperature. If unopened, thawed smoked salmon is good in the refrigerator for up to 45 days. Once it is opened it should kept in the refrigerator and eaten within 7 days.
